Blurry bloody splatter in vision?

... I stayed up late and strained my eyes on the laptop. When I woke up, I'm seeing about an inch large splatter of red and orange that looks like blood in my right eye's vision. It follows the eye and blurs things behind it. My eyes do not hurt and I still see fine with glasses. Is this similar to a popped vessel? ... (0 replies)

... I've had the same exact thing happen. It was a retinal hemorrhage. I got one for years ago and another one 6 weeks ago. They cause a scotoma or blind spot in the eye which usually resolves mostly. Unfortunately and my case neither one did resolved and I have permanent vision loss and two areas of my right eye. ... ... Those lights may very well be vascular or blood-pressure related, however, unless you went to an actual eye doctor you should go there. Seeing bright lights or flashes (especially when moving your eye or blinking) may (as you said yourself) be signs for retinal detachment. (2 replies)
