We are super proud to supply the Falco Pumped, Fixed VOC Detectors from ION Science Ltd, for a remediation system project in the Garden Route. Hydrocarbon vapours will be vacuumed from wells, drilled into the ground, in the location of a fuel spill. As all the vapours are inside pipes and vessels pumped Falcos were required. Flue Gas Analysis In The Presence Of Condensation-Specialised analysers are required when measuring reactive gases such as HCL, CL2, SO2 or NO2 emissions, in a stack, where condensation is present. As these gases dissolve in water, measurement is inaccurate and acid forms. Burning of plastics for recycling and reuse, is an example of harmful gases being released into atmosphere, including HCLIn general purpose flue gas analysers, a standard peltier cooler is insufficient to dry the gas sample and potential instrument damage is the result. To overcome this challenge, a specialised analyser fitted with a heavy duty NAFION dryer and heated hoses is recommended.
